In the time I have known Frank Wilkie I have come to respect him as a person who truly believes in achieving the best outcomes for the greater Noosa area, from the beaches to the hinterland. His understanding of key issues and the strategies required to tackle them speaks of his experience as a councillor and as Deputy Mayor under three different Mayors. Frank understands that for our community to thrive, there needs to be a balance of visitor and resident amenity, and to achieve this, protecting our marine, rural and neighbourhood environments is vital. 

We need a Mayor who is not affiliated with any political party. One who will not cave to developers who only see the Noosa Shire in terms of profits, and who will ensure residents’ issues regarding unhosted short term accommodation (AirBNBs=unstaffed hotels) in our suburban areas are heard and addressed.  For me that person is Frank Wilkie.
