The repairs on the biggest landslide in Noosa and Sunshine Coast’s history are nearing completion.

“Black Mountain Road landslide repairs update
Much of the heavy lifting is done and the reconstruction remains on track for completion in late April 2025 (weather permitting).
The capping beams over the length of the piles have been poured.
Next up: Concrete drains and batter construction.
Crews are also raising the old road height to match the new one before asphalting, linemarking, and guardrail installation.
Check out this time lapse footage to see the incredible progress so far! It’s the biggest landslide on the Sunshine Coast in 30 years.
These essential recovery works are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
