“Met with CR Jess Phillips and Frank Wilkie Noosa Mayor this morning to talk through all of the design elements regarding the Emu Mtn Rd pathway. Staff from both Councils were there to answer technical questions and challenge assumptions.
It was a productive onsite meeting and great to be able to work with collaborative councillors.
While we missed out on the grant funding this year, we are committed to resolving any remaining issues so we can reapply for next year’s grant funding.
The positives of the project are safety, safety, safety. Improved outcomes for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.
Some vegetation in the road reserve will be impacted but there is opportunity for revegetation on the buffers to enhance the visual amenity along this road.”
