New disaster coordination centre opens in Noosa

Three levels of government combined to create Noosa’s new disaster coordination centre with the opening attended by Major General Jake Ellwood, MPSandy Bolton and Noosa LDMG members and advisors.

Continually working towards a safer and more resilient community. Noosa Council media release:

We are proud to announce the opening of our new Local Disaster Coordination Centre (LDCC) located at the Noosaville Depot. This facility marks a crucial step forward in our emergency response capabilities for any emerging disaster.

With cutting-edge technology and resources, the LDCC features operations rooms, breakout rooms for agencies and ensures a swift and effective response during a crises.

Thanks to a joint investment from the Australian and Queensland Governments, alongside contributions from Noosa Council, we are building a safer and more resilient Noosa.

Thanks to Major General Jake Ellwood for visiting and opening the LDCC. The central disaster operations hub is part of our ongoing commitment to protecting our community and ensuring we can respond quickly in challenging times.
