At the annual SEQ Council of Mayors Local Government Forum, Crs Wilson, Finzel, Stockwell, CEO Larry Sengstock and I met with other SEQ Mayors, Councillors and CEOs to discuss issues of common interest.
The Queensland Trade and Investment Commission CEO kindly accepted my invitation to visit Noosa to discuss ways to help bolster the prosperity and reach of our local enterprises providing good quality employment and products plus how to fund a sound stage, the missing piece in establishing a film industry on the Sunshine Coast.
We heard insights gleaned from Paris 2024 as our 12 council region prepares for Brisbane 2032. Helping to improve the all abilities accessibility of our public areas and facilities is a must do, in my view.
There were also presentations from both Minister Grace Grace MP, and Leader of the Opposition David Crisafulli MP on their plans for South East Queensland ahead of the October poll.
